Green Windows' mission: To use the art of writing to
offer disadvantaged, low-income,
low-literacy, and at-risk youth growth, healing, empowerment,
self-discovery,
and community through creative writing workshops.
Green
Windows workshops use the Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) method and
are run in partnership with community-based organizations and
schools.
Green Windows also offers the general
public the
opportunity to join supportive writing groups and thereby
support
its youth workshops.
Green
Windows'
vision: With
the firm belief that art and creativity are vital to social justice,
Green Windows would like to demonstrate, in partnership with youth
development advocates and teachers, the vital role literary art can
play in increasing literacy, bringing diverse people together, and
giving a voice to the voiceless.
Half the net sales through
December of these amazing one of a kind hand-cut
cards and envelopes will
go to Green Windows! Check them out http://hansart.etsy.com/.
Thanks Hansart!
We're

UpRising this fall. Stay tuned.
